My 91TT is a daily driver for the past 9 years or so (purchased new) and I've only gotten stuck once. That was my own fault for not acting on the PTU recall, and waiting until the car wouldn't start one day. Thank goodness for AAA... Motorwise and mechanically I have NO complaints, this car runs better at 130,000 miles than most new cars do off the showroom these days. I've made some mods (see my profile), but haven't had to 'go inside' the engine yet. Did the timing chain and front seals at some point, but that was fun! Biggest expense has been the aero parts and the repaint - the acid rain up here in New England is tough on paint. Even if it stopped running tomorrow I think I'd have to keep it around just to look at - they sure are pretty!
